Children's Mental Health Week
This week is Children's Mental Health Week, and I've been thinking about what I can contribute this. I thought I'd post my thoughts on children's mental health.
How can we help children who are struggling with their mental health? There's many options, and there's a lot of support available, how to we choose the right thing for them, and how do we help quickly?
For me, it's about showing them that they are in control of themselves and their own mind. In my coaching programme I show kids that their thoughts become their feelings, their feelings become their actions and their actions become their reality. Negative thoughts will ultimately result in unhappiness, anxiety and depression, which validates their feelings in the first place, creating an embedded belief and a habit of behaving this way. The sooner they are empowered to take responsibility for their thoughts and feelings, the sooner they are empowered to change their reality.
The other way we can help is by being an example to our kids. If you are struggling with your own mental health, get help and deal with it. The other way I help is with RTT. I am a Certified Hypnotherapist and practise Rapid Transformational Therapy. I work with children, teens and adults to help them uncover their limiting beliefs and habits quickly, reframe them and transform them into positive habits and beliefs that serve us better. The best part of it? It truly is rapid.
